Governance project role

With new governance features comes a new project role to maintain them. Users like data stewards and the governance team can create and maintain additional data dictionary metadata fields, add documentation pages, and set flags on database objects with this role.

Custom fields

The governance suite will let users create their own columns (and column types) and add them to the database documentation. Define elements like source/target mappings, table owners, and medallion status by extending documentation with data cataloging fields. By designating fields as dbt-enabled, users can also maintain dbt source and model properties without writing YAML by hand.

Pages

Extend documentation beyond the object level with full-length content, embedded images, diagrams, styling, and formatting.
