We’re hiring
Build the system of record for enterprise data.
Every company is trying to make AI work on its data. Almost none can say what their data actually means, or which version is the approved one. That’s the problem we solve, for enterprises you’ve heard of, and now for their AI agents too.
We’re a small team that ships every week. If you want work you can point at, come build it with us.
Why we exist
Vision & Mission
Vision
A world where every organization’s data architecture is designed with intention, governed with confidence, and understood by every team and AI agent that depends on it.
Mission
SqlDBM gives enterprise data teams one platform to model schemas, govern metadata, and build the semantic layer their people and AI agents can trust, from first design to production.
How we work
The rules we run by
The people we hire are the company we build. So instead of values that could hang on any wall, here are the actual rules. If they read hard, that’s because they are.
You own it.
Knowing things doesn’t get you a vote. Owning things with accountability, that’s what does. Everyone here owns something real, a number, a date, a system, with their name on it. Advice is always welcome. Ownership decides.
Dates hold.
When something has to give, we cut scope, never the date. Commitments are public, leadership’s first. You’ll ship more here in a quarter than most places ship in a year, smaller than you planned, sooner than you thought possible.
The numbers speak.
A miss is called a miss, out loud, in writing. No spin inside the building. We publish targets and report against them monthly, because verification beats persuasion.
We sell what’s on the truck.
Customers get the truth about what exists today, not a roadmap dressed as a product. It costs us a deal now and then. It’s why the largest enterprises trust us with their source of truth.
Small by design.
We’re a small team with enterprise customers and a much bigger incumbent to beat. So: no process for its own sake, few meetings, everyone’s work visible. Some people find that stressful. The right people find it freeing.
And the truth: this will be hard.
We’re taking a category from an incumbent many times our size, and we’re doing it with a small team where your work matters and shows. If you want to come along for the ride, there are easier companies. If you want your name on the thing that wins, see the roles.
